LEAGUE OF LEGENDS PATCH 13.5 NERFS
In League of Legends’ upcoming Patch 13.5, Riot Games plans to make some changes to the powerful Aurelion Sol, the Star Forger who dominated the Summoner’s Rift. The universe may have watched in awe as he took to the skies, but the developers aim to lower his effectiveness at lower skill levels while keeping him powerful in higher ranks. According to U.GG, Aurelion Sol has a win rate of 51.54 percent in Platinum ranks and above, but that number increases significantly in lower ranks.
To achieve this balance, Riot Games will reduce his HP per level by five, lower his armor per level from 4.8 to 4.3, and decrease Breath of Light’s burst AP damage from 40 to 35 percent. Although this may seem insignificant, these changes could be more punishing to players who are less careful in trades.
AP-built Twitch will also receive nerfs, with the AP ratio of Contaminate decreasing from 35 to 30 percent, while Gangplank will receive a significant nerf to his Trial By Fire passive damage. His Powder Kegs will now have a static 18-second cooldown.
Rammus, Caitlyn, Xayah, and Yorick will receive smaller nerfs that should not significantly affect their place in the current season 13 meta.
League Patch 13.5 will be released on Wednesday, March 8, along with Yuumi’s massive rework, sweeping jungle changes, and the addition of the new Broken Covenant skins.
